This fleece is lightweight, yet keeps me warm in our breezy Michigan weather. I'm impressed with how perfect the sizing is and I like the adjustable elastic at the bottom. I was worried that the hood wouldn't stay up without a tie, but it is shaped just right and stays in place. I find that I'm grabbing it to go everywhere. Great job L.L.Bean!
I ordered this jacket to replace a jacket that they no longer made, (broken zipper). I have worn it in wind and light rain and I stayed warm and dry. I have other fleece jackets, but this is the one that I have worn since getting it about a month ago. I am 5 feet 8 inches and had to go up a size as it is fitted cut and I have a long torso.
I love the Wind Challenger... it is everything you said it was and more. I usually wear a Petite (short arms) but this jacket is just perfect. The denseness of the fleece really works and the color I chose (brown/beige) goes great with everything. I intend to bring it to Africa with me since the morning safaris are very cold and windy in the vehicle and this will be perfect. Thanks again for an amazing garment.
