I purchased this jacket in a small after reading the reviews. I am between an XS and a small. I probably should have purchased the XS the jacket is baggy on me but the small has worked out well for layering with bulkier layers. This is the most effective jacket I've ever owned at blocking the wind. I really like the hood, great coverage on those blustery days with a down sweater underneath. I ordered the lapis slate/tidal teal. I like the color and the soft fabric. I'm very pleased with this purchase.
I ordered this jacket 3 years ago and just love it. I got it for a trip to the Northwest USA. I got it in a size that fits well, but doesn't allow for much layering. I just ordered the new one in a size larger for layering and it's great. I also like the improvements - the large inside pockets are terrific. It also feels softer than my older one. I always get the jackets with a hood for changes in weather and wind. The hoods are great, especially with the way the style is with the zipper coming up to the hood. It doesn't blow off.
