Better than anticipated. It really truly is wind resistant, and looks cute. Light, no bulk, pretty in the violet. Needs layering on cold days - below 40, I need some wool between me and the fleece fabric- but I am overall quite happy. And did I say it looks cute?
At $89, this is an expensive light jacket. But worth it. My wife has several other fleece jackets, but wanted one with a hood. LLBean had 2 other versions costing less, but being the wonderful husband I am, my choice was the Wind Challenger. It is a great fit, comfortable, and became my wife's favorite cool weather "slip-on" outerwear.
The jacket was bought for my 15 and 11 year old children. The jackets are great, soft material that the kids like. The hood makes them look cool and styling. One needs to remind thier children that care needs to be taken when pulling the side draw string, my 15 year old (boy) has already broken one.
