Nice coat, comfortable. Soft even with the wind stop material. Definitely not fitted, a little roomy in the bottom 1/2 of the coat. Mesh pocket is not all that warm. Great for layers underneath. Love the color.
Light enough to wear on a fall day. Warm enough to wear in early winter, without the bulk. My husband has the men's version of this jacket and uses it when running in the winter (even in the snow!). He says it's perfect because he doesn't overheat, but the jacket takes the chill off.
First off I got the lapis/teal combo which looked like a lovely bright combo. Arrived not as expected. The main color is much more of a dark, dull turquoise. I got the large so I could layer underneath and accomodate my bust. Swallowed me whole. Lookes like a tent. Boxy rather than having a curved flattering seam. The feeling of the fabric itself, while better than some early windblock fleece, is cheap and plasticy. Overall not at all worth the money. I would say paying over $30 for this product would be a waste. Sorry LL Bean, but I am very disappointed.
I really like the jacket. It certainly blocks out the wind and keeps you warm. It is great for walking on a windy day when the weather is in the high forties. I will use it for cross country skiing in the spring. It was a great purchase.
