This jacket performs as advertised. It does block the wind. The material is quite different from regular fleece, is a little bit stiff, and smells odd, but hopefully that will go away when washed. I wore it x-country skiing in very cold conditions, with a Primaloft jacket underneath, and was toasty warm. Even too warm going uphill.
This high quality fleece jacket would have been perfect if I had ordered the correct size. I usually wear small but this was snug when layered over a cotton shirt and light weight sweater. Since I usually layer in this way it was necessary to order the medium which is perfect.
I love this jacket. The fit is perfect. The color(green and navy) is perfect and the weight of the material is great. Light weight and warm. The only thing I don't like is the sleeves are very difficult to get into and out of because the jacket is unlined and the material, although almost perfect, makes it difficult to get into and out of. But I will deal with it because I love the jacket...
