I bought this jacket after seeing it in the magazine & after reading other customer reviews. It fits me just right. I bought a Medium based on the size chart & it was right on. I especially like the teal color. It's warmer than you think even though it's a light jacket. This should be perfect for Spring & Fall in Wisconsin! I exspecially like that it's stylish for any age.
The material of this item does not fit the price of the item, I would NOT recommend it to another customer. The material of the same item WITHOUT THE HOOD last year was completely different. I seem to be frequently disappointed in LLBean anymore.
I bought one of these a few years ago and the new version is different but just as good, although the differences should be noted. The older version (mine has no hood) is more boxy in shape and cut larger overall. In fact, it was a bit too big, but I kept it anyway. After reading reviews here, I ordered an XL (my normal size) and a 1X for trial. I'm glad I did. The new slimmer cut is more flattering than the previous design, but it is not a generous fit, especially if you are a bit busty. The 1X is also a bit longer. The XL fit me, but I like room to layer so I'm keeping the 1X. No problem with the sleeve length (as others have noted) for either size. I'm thrilled with the rich dark coffee color and I'll enjoy this coat for fall, winter and early spring. It really is a great lightweight-but-warm and wind-cutting jacket and I'm sure the hood will be a nice addition.
