I bought this specificly for the windproof feature, and the hood. Fabric is stiffer than I expected, and less breathable, but I wear this a LOT. Wind-resistant even on a motorcycle, and more versatile than a plain fleece or rain jacket
This is a very well made jacket and for a wind blocking jacket, also softer than I expected. The hood is large enough to give good coverage. I did end up returning it though because I felt that the Mountain Sport Fleece jacket was a much more attractive jacket. I would love to see this jacket made a little more fitted and a little "dressier" so that it could be worn for more occasions
This was not soft and fleecy like I thought it would be. It was unpleasant to the touch and I kind of reacted like "fingers on a chalkboard" when I ran my hand across this outer material. It was well made and ran true to size but I had to send it back.
