Probably the best coat I've ever owned - honestly!

I am pleasantly surprised at how far above my expectations this jacket is! I wore it for the first time on a Monday when the temperature was not going above 30 and I had lots of Christmas shopping to do. I was not at all cold while outside and while in the stores I never felt heated and "bulked up" from my coat. I'm 5' tall so the sleeves are perfect. My 5'8" daughter tried it on and said the sleeves are a little short for her. The coat is not ultra soft but I had read the reviews on that and was not expecting the ultrasoft fleece - but it isn't stiff or nonmoving either. I can't believe how many people I've gotten compliments on when wearing and and I immediately tell them "this is the best coat I have ever owned."
I have two of these jackets, one in the hooded and one without the hood. I absolutely LOVE these and they are super warm and block the wind great! My only complaint which I've seen some of the others say, is that the pockets are mesh and I wish they were fleece too, to keep my hands warm, plus.....I've gotten the pocket stuck in the zipper several times because they're mesh and now one has a hole in it. Otherwise though, these have been my winter jackets for years and I live in New Hampshire, so we see some cold and windy days up here. I love that it's warm enough to be my winter coat, but not bulky like so many parka's are. I DO buy a size up so I can layer underneath on colder days, but all in all, it fits perfectly. I recommend to all my friends.
I got this to have a lightweight jacket to wear when it's really windy in the winter. Here in central NC we don't have really harsh winters, but when it's cold (in the 20s and 30s is cold for us) and windy, that's when I really appreciate this jacket. I'm glad I got the model with the hood, which I've used a few times when I'm out walking my dog in such weather.
