When I opened the bag containing my Wind Challenger fleece I was surprised, and a little skeptical, at the size of the jacket. It seemed too small to actually provide any protection from the wind and rain. Surprise...surprise! I live on the coast and it stops the wind dead. The first time I wore it I decided to seriously test my new fleece on a little bike ride (15 miles) -- 40 degree weather, 20 mph winds and only a short sleeve shirt on underneath. I was shocked when I couldn't feel the wind on my arms. I was so impressed with this fleece that I purchased one for my daughter. My only complaint is regarding the arm length. I do feel it is a bit short when I'm riding my bike. I compensate for that by wearing gloves with a flared wrist.
The item fit fine, but I wasn't prepared for the texture of the fabric. It has "Fleece" in its description and I was expecting a soft, nubbly fabric. This was more stiff and much less soft than anticipated.
I purchased one for myself and then my Mom. We both enjoy the versitality of the jacket. It's light weight and wind proof even one cold windy days/nights. Well worht the price..
