I would have rated this item with 5 stars as I have ordered it in the past and like the way it provides warmth under the Stoweaway Goretex parka. It is excellent for layering, especially if the 2 items are the same colours as they have been in the past. Several years ago, I switched from another on-line company to LLBean, because I liked their women's colours better: Dark Reds, Dark Greens, Navy, Black. Please use the men's colours again as you have done in the past.
I got this jacket after I lost my old windblock L.L.Bean fleece I had for 6 years (and loved). I sent this one back. The material is soft but it's very thin. It didn't warm me up when I put it on. Because it is so thin it would be great for activity. I was looking for something that felt more warm, like a fleece blanket, next to my skin. So it's a warm jacket, but not as cozy as regular fleece. Also, other reviewers said the sleeves were too short for them. I have short arms and wear petites. The sleeves on the Large were long on me (easy enough to roll up though).
I love this jacket, it fits well (though the sleeves are a bit short) but there is no synch at the neck to keep the wind out of the hood! I found this ironic as it is billed as windbloc. I was looking for something to wear on chilly fall mornings to keep my head cozy and this just lets the wind in. Sadly I'll return it. Great colors, just not a good fit for me.
