I love flannel. I have had lots of flannel sheets over the years, and was loyal to a competitor until their sheets were changed to poorer quality flannel. I discovered these this year, and will never buy anything else, unless this quality, too, suffers. They are soft, warm, and silky. they wash with very little shedding, and so far, no pilling. I bought a patterned duvet cover, and specifically bought the "light straw" sheets and pillow cases, because one reviewer claimed they were more like "buttercup" yellow, and not pale at all. They are a really nice bright yellow, and I'm glad, as I was really tired of pink, blue and green coloured sheets.
It's a good thing that I am retired. The first morning I woke up in these sheets, I didn't get out of bed until 10:30!! I felt so snuggly warm that I didn't want to move!! These sheets are SO soft and pretty and quite ample in their measurements. My oversized queen-size down blanket (which I use as a bedspread) barely covered them on the sides. Although the sheets are a bit pricey, they are worth every dollar. I will buy another set as soon as the pattern changes since I don't want two sets that differ only in color.
I swallowed hard at the price of these sheets, but they are worth every cent. They didn't shrink at all after washing, and don't pill like most flannel sheets.
When I opened the package they didn't seem that fluffy, as others have noted, but once they were washed and dried they puffed up just fine.
Like all the other sheets I've gotten here they are very high quality and I'm sure will last a long time.
