Very nice, very soft. I bought the flat sheet in white and use it as a light blanket. It is extra big, I have pillow top mattress and it still hangs longer than my bedspread. I don't like to tuck but now I have to.
I have been a flannel sheet lover for most of my life and cannot begin to count the number of brands and models that I have tried through the years. I ordered a set of Premium Supima sheets in blue a year ago and used nothing but that set all of long and cold winter 2010-11 - couldn't bear the thought of using other flannels in my collection. They are back on my bed now, and I am ready to order another set as soon as I can decide on a color. I want the moss green, but the color as photographed and not as described by other reviewers. The blue I have is much paler than the blue pictured, so I am leery about the green. After reading all of the reviews, I can't believe we are talking about the same sheets. Flannel sheets are "thick and heavy" when they are new, but most lose a great deal of that fluffy nap in the first wash and come out with a coarse open weave and pills of what nap remains. Not so with these very tightly woven sheets that have been washed countless times and still look like new with no pills and no loss of nap. I agree with reviewers who dislike elastic all the way around fitted sheets, and I wish for deeper colors or at least colors that are true to the ones pictured. However, I'll stick with this LL Bean model despite the limitations, with hope that I can live with the color I select. Another blue set, perhaps?
I love when LL Bean listens to its customers! I was a little concerned when I purchased these sheets because of a previous review stating the flat sheet was not long enough to tuck in. My flat sheet tucks perfectly. Thanks LL Bean for listening. I love my sheets!
