This review is for the solid color (bluegrass) flat flannel sheet. It's a very heavy weight flannel which I'll probably only use for a couple of months here in Texas. It's been washed and dried several times with little to no shrinkage. After using for several weeks, it shows no signs of pilling. Love the soft 'bluegrass' color. Very happy with this purchase.
We bought our first set of these sheets about three years ago. We had been using the LL Bean Ultrasoft Flannel sheets for years and I wanted to try the new version. Wow! I couldn't believe how soft they were! There was very little shedding with the first wash. I splurged and bought a second set the next year. They just get softer and softer with subsequent washes, with no pilling. I'm not kidding! Who knew there was flannel that doesn't pill. And they are warm and cozy. Don't question the price. Splurge and enjoy them!
You spend 1/3 of your life in bed - make that time comfortable! This was my think when I decided to invest in these sheets. I will never be able to lower my standards again.
The funny thing is, I get the feeling that these will last 3 times as long as some of the other sheets I've bought for 1/2 the price.
Every time we climb in bed, my husband and I sigh and feel very fortunate to live in an era where non-royalty can experience such luxury.
When I searched for "pink flannels sheets", I saw a photo of lush, folded set of pink flannel sheets! I had bought the same (I thought) 10 years ago for the double bed# So, for the Queen sized bed, I thought I was doing the same# NO# It's NOT as pictured# Even the shipping invoice/Customer Copy says "Shts" with an S, plural# The plastic package even says "SHEETS", with an /S/= Plural, meaning more than one! Well, surprise surprise, there is ONE sheet in the package! One! And it does not fit the bed. Can't tuck it in. The quality of the fabric is NOTHING, as in no where near as nice as the pink flannel sheets that I bought 10 years ago. I don't have time to return it. I am very disappointed in LL Bean, as I have bought from LL Bean since 1985. I doubt seriously if I'll buy from LL Bean, again. One sheet for $74. that doesn't fit.
