The Supima Flannel sheets have recieved great reviews. Based on those reviews I was excited to order a set; however, I am disappointed in them.
I purchased these last winter and upon washing them noticed an enormous amount of lint in the dryer lint filter, like I have never seen from anything else I have ever washed and dried. I used the sheets and then washed them again, again I had a large amount of lint.
I generally rotate my sheet sets, and did so with these, with a few different sets of Ralph Lauren's. I probably used these Premium Supima's no more than 4 times last winter, washed them, dried them (each time seeing a large amount of lint in dryer) and stored them until about 3 weeks ago for this winters use.
I washed and dried the sheets, again seeing the large amount of lint, used them, and started to notice how worn they feel. I've never experienced this with any of my other sheets. These sheets, after only 5 to 7 washes, have that worn out, thin feeling. I'm disappointed in them, they do not hold up to even light use. While initially they felt very comfortable, now they feel cheep, uncomfortable, they lose their shape and that "just washed" feeling within a few uses.
Sorry LL Bean, but these are not worth the money if they won't hold up to even light use.
These gorgeous Premium Supima Flannel sheets are the most wonderful & luxurious I have ever slept on. I've been to the best hotels in New York, London, Paris, & Toronto and nothing compares ANYWHERE to the elegance & comfort of these amazing sheets. I also bought the pillow cases and they (as well as the top sheet edge) are beautifully hemstitched. I bought mine in pink. They are the most exquisite "Ballet Pink" ever! There's absolutely nothing better in this world than melting into a warm, cosy bed at night, and being enveloped in LLBeans' incredibly soft flannel sheets. Sweet dreams!!
haven't had these long enough to state how they'll last, but my hubby will test them. He's worn out numerous sheets. but I am happy with them in all respects (except might like other colors than I was able to get)
These are very nice sheets, but the bottom sheet had a thin spot in it and after just 2 washings it developed a hole. I have mended it and it is fine. However, I did not expect a flaw in the pricier sheet. I do prefer the Ultra soft sheets that I bought last year. They are thicker and warmer and cost much less. The Premium sheets are much silkier though. I guess it depends on what is important to you.
