I bought this jacket to wear while skiing. I wore an LL Bean windblock fleece underneath and stayed completely warm in -5 degree temperatures all day. It is COMPLETELY windproof and waterproof. I spent a good deal of time sliding through the snow and did not feel cold at all. It's great too in warmer temperatures without an underlayer. I use it when it rains and when it is windy. Best jacket I have ever owned.
I ordered the petite size, as I'm only 5'3", and it fit very well. The length wasn't too long in the torso, and the sleeves were a good length too. The only negative thing about this jacket is that there are no inner zippers to zip in an insulated jacket underneath. True, you can still wear one, but I like being able to zip it in. I ordered it in red. Nice color! I'm looking forward to wearing it.
