He is so pleased with his small collection of short and long sleeve LLB buys for his retiree wardrobe. He is looking for a lot of easy care comfort and a little variety in his closet these days. We did have to pick up the phone and change sleeve lengths. He had been buying XL talls in casual shirts. but you worked out an exchange to his satisfaction. Keep those green plastic LLB bags coming to our doorstep. Service and comfort trump durability in his dress clothes these days.
The quality is high. It's a fine shirt, no question about it. But it's like a tent, baggy, very baggy. All my shirts from llbean are size small. The neck size was fine, the sleeves were correct. But the chest, my heavens, you'd think they cut this for a 250 lb man. Small should mean small. Depending on the cost to alter to get a proper fit I may have to end up sending this product back.
If you're reading this you may be new here. That's ok! It cannot be said enough: in the business casual workplace, Bean's wrinkle free oxford shirt should be a staple in every man's wardrobe! They are the perfect length to stay tucked in. They are tough and unshrinkable. Best of all, they are crisp right out of the dryer- I don't even know where my iron is any more! And you won't either. Buy this one with confidence! I bought the orange and the purple. Wish I could monogram it though... I'm seeing that on less and less shirts. Please bring it back!
I have purchased two of these shirts annually for the last three years. I wear each shirt once a week, after a year they are worn out. I am fine with them lasting a year. My problem is with my most recent purchases. The fabric is not the same pinpoint fabric, more of a cross between pinpoint and Oxford cloth. Secondly the tattersall pattern was made up of finer lines on the old shirts. This pattern is more of a check than tattersall. I will never purchase this shirt 262253 again. It is not the same shirt that was available a year ago.
