Excellent shirt
PostedMarch 13, 2013
My husband has been through many brands of shirts trying to find one that is comfortable, fits well and doesn't need ironing. This is it! I'm coming back to get more already.

Looks Good But Doesn't Last
PostedMarch 10, 2013
Purchased this shirt last fall and I really liked the look and feel of it, however, after less than 20 washes the end of the sleeves and the collar have worn through.Too bad.Very disappointed,as I usually find quality of LL Bean first rate.

A Great Button Down Shirt
PostedMarch 7, 2013
Hi, I bought this shirt for my husband in the size 34 sleeve, 16 1/2 collar in French Blue and Blue. What he likes most about these shirts and we have bought quite a few of them is that they have a Button Down Collar. It was hard to find Button Down Shirts let alone in the color he wanted. That's why we've purchased so many. That's not the only reason though it's because they are so comfortable, they fit very well, true to size, excellent quality and extremely well made. When asked about the shirt and people have noticed how fine it is I tell them to buy this shirt. They will be delighted at what a remarkable shirt it is.
Thanks L.L.Bean for providing us with a wonderful product we couldn't find anywhere else.

Plenty of material to work with...
PostedFebruary 28, 2013
My shirt style should be slim, trim, or fitted. Sometimes I purchase large shirts and I pay to have them altered at the local dry cleaner/tailor shop. When the shirt arrived the neck and arm sizes were perfect, but I was overwhelmed by the amount of extra material in the back and sleeves. I briefly entertained the idea of having it altered. I finally noticed that the under arms were too low and I decided to return the shirt.
It's good to know that LLBean customers pump a lot of iron.
My tailor charges about $20 to alter the back and sides. Each sleeve is an additional $10. I was afraid that the under arm space in this shirt would incur yet another fee. When the alterations double the cost of the clothing I have to think twice.
The material and stitching was high quality. I was sad to send it back. I will award four stars for quality. I'll deduct one star because the alterations aren't practical for me.
