I bought this shirt and absolutely love the fit and style. Comes out of the dryer crisp, comforatble and wears well. I just bought another, just wish they had a few more colors. Definetly one of my better shirts.
This shirt looks and feels very nice. But the collar sizes seem to be incorrect. I ordered a 16.5 inch neck size for comfort (my neck seems to be between a 16" and 16.5" size), but when I got the shirt it seemed way too large when I buttoned it and put on a tie.
So I measured the shirt going from the center of the collar button to the center of the collar buttonhole and found that it was actually 17". Indeed, per LLBean instructions for measuring, one would go to the far end of the buttonhole, i.e., it would be about 17.25".
Although it was unclear if this was a sample defect or a systemic problem, I exchanged the shirt for the same one in a size 16" collar which now fits generously, actually measuring 16.5" center of the button to center of the buttonhole.
In short, it appears there is a systematic .5" understatement (oversizing) of the collar size on these shirts. I haven't washed it yet so I hope this wasn't someone's idea of a safety margin for expected shrinkage :-)
I purchased a few wrinkle free oxford shirts for my husband for the beginning of the school year, and he ABSOLUTELY loves them. I normally don't write reviews for products that I buy, but I figured since I was browsing more shirts online, why not encourage others, as well. The shirts wash extremely well and my husband says the fit was perfect and true to size. He also loves the LL chinos which I plan to purchase more of today also.
