I bought a similar shirt last year and loved it so much that I ordered a second one in a different color. I just purchased the newer one and I am not satisfied with the updated styling. The neckline is too low to be comfortable and I prefer the heavier cotton. Please go back to the original style.
I loved the fit of this shirt, it was not snug or too clingy at all. I am a curvy 39 yr old mom of two and it's not too low cut. The sleeves are not skin tight, and I do not have skinny arms. I ordered an XL and glad that I did. I am in between L and XL in the size charts Beans provides. The color Sugarplum, though, I am disappointed with. This is so much more a pink than a sugarplum color. The color of the shirt is lighter than it appears online. I will keep this and want to order more. I gave it 4 stars because of being disappointed with the color.
Perfect - neckline is subtly feminine, not too low; fitted waist and hip contour without being tight; good length for tucking in yet flattering when worn over; perfect sleeve length; varied and appealing color selection. Full marks!
I've long been a fan of LL Bean's Pima cotton shirts. I've got a rainbow of crew necks, v-necks, scoop necks, long and short-sleeved to the point my wardrobe is boring (but I love them all). Last year, I was so happy with the fit, style, and feel of this shirt I re-ordered it in colors I otherwise NEVER wear. The shirring at the neckline gives the shirt just the right touch of casual femininity. The shirts have held up well to wear and to washings. I'm thrilled at this year's new color options and expect to order 4-6 more. Like I said boring, but they are my new favorite shirt. The fabric is lightweight enough that it doesn't stand alone in cold MN winters, but it layers well with multiples of the same shirt or under cardigans.
