This is definitely one of those thin, stretchy shirts that are popular for layering now. I got the lt. blue, and if you hold it up to your face, you can see thru it, but it didn't seem "see thru" when I wore it. The scoop neck is pretty low, but the shirt stays put when you bend over so it's not a peep show. I would describe my figure as: 5' 7", size 8-10 on top, medium bust, hour glass shape. This shirt (in medium) clung to every curve, so if that sounds like your shape, this shirt will be very flattering. If you have anything in your upper body you don't want to accentuate with a clingy fabric, skip this shirt or buy a size up.
Ordered my usual size... very comfortable, but cut large enough in the wrong places to be unflattering in a pajama-like or maternity-like way. Actually considered keeping it as a pajama top, but I couldn't justify spending $30 for that. If it went on sale I might buy one for loungewear.
This shirt hangs nicely and is so versatile it can be warn with a nice pair of pants or skirt for a special occasion, or with jeans to the mall. Either way you'll be pleased. Fairly stain resistant too, I wear it all the time and have spilled a few things on it... so far everything has come right out. Just ordered another color, and can't wait for that one to come in. I have the red, and with all the washing it's getting, it's holding its color quite well, not noticing any fadeing.
