I just purchased two of these shirts..one in Elderberry and one in Warm Pink.The former was only in large but I felt I might layer it in the Fall as I love that colour.The Pink was in medium and a good fit but I also seem to show a bit of cleavage..not too much..just enough! The material is heaven to the touch on my skin and I can see that it is well made and will last.I have the solid colours. After I am over my initial shyness as far as the bust line I am quite certain I shall wear it many times..no worries about the Elderberry as it is a large!I can see wearing them to dinner and meetings and just every day use! Another winner for L.L.Bean.
I love pima cotton and thought the styling and stretch knit would be great combo. I am usually a small at LLBean, and this top was too tight in the chest & arms and too lose in the waist, hips, and shoulders. Because the shoulders were so wide a medium would certainly not fit, especially since I planned to wear it with a blazer and the fabric just gets all scrunched up. So unfortunately it is going back.
Love this top in the solid colors. Nice color selection. It keeps its shape and color after washing and drying. Comes out of the dryer smooth and fresh. The detailing is nice. It's one of my favorite fall and spring shirts to wear with jeans or kakis. I hope LLBean carries this top for a long time.
I ordered a large (I'm sort of in between a med and a large and prefer my clothes to be a bit baggy) and it really looks nice and its supper comfortable and its worn and washed really well for a favourite shirt. It is great for wearing with a nice necklace, as its got a low enough neckline to see it. It looks pretty dressy for a cotton shirt. Great for teaching.
