We bought this hammock 18 years ago. I usually drag it under cover during rain, but it's finally time to replace it. If the current quality is the same, I'll be good for another 18 years!
Our old hammock (non-L.L.Bean) needed to be replaced. It was not possible to find a hammock in a store so I turned to L.L.Bean. I couldn't decide between the two fabrics but went for the cotton because it's made in the U.S.A. I have not been disappointed. The highlight of my week is when my my work is done and the weather is nice because you can find me in my hammock.
I'm looking forward to using the cotton hammock for many years.
I bought this hammock about three years ago. I was very adamant about bringing it in during bad weather and over the winter. I went to lay in it the first day of the summer season and 2 of the strings broke. I do not think I should have to pay over $100.00 for a unit to last less than 5 years. I am replacing it and will try again.
