very happy with these pants. have worn them once for skiing and they were very warm and comfortable with nice deep zippered pockets. I think they will be very versatile. they appear to be well made and the outer fabric is strong and not too noisy when you walk. I am a size 6 and the size 6 fit nicely with room for long johns too. I think the fit looks good too, maybe not cutting edge Alpine style but definitely not frumpy!
The waistband fit fine, but the legs on these are at least twice as wide as necessary. Even with jeans underneath, they're gigantic. I can see needing a little extra width for boots, but these are just ridiculous.
I am a pear (smaller waist, bigger hips and thighs). I wasn't holding my breath about these pants since pants never fit me and it is a huge ordeal to find regular every day pants much less ski pants. However, I was pleasantly surprised. I haven't been skiing yet (which is what I got them for) but I can tell they are warmer than other ski pants I've had in the past...and the fit is perfect. In fact, if I could find this cut in regular everyday pants, I'd get one in every color! They are a little heavy in weight but if that doesn't bother you, you will like these.
