I wore these for the first time plowing/shoveling snow - I stayed warm and dry. I was worried about the fit after reading other reviews, but I followed the size chart and they fit fine. I'll be warm all winter!
As others mentioned, the waist runs wide. I also found them snug across the seat/hips. I also realized that I needed something lighter weight for the snowshoeing and cross country skiing I had bought them for.
The pants were extremely wide .. more than wide enough to accommodate several pairs of other pants underneath! They almost fall right off. I wish I had ordered a smaller size ... by the time these came it was too late to exchange.
These snow pants are very warm and made with the quality like you would expect from LL Bean. They will serve me well in the cold, windy Minnesota weather. The one improvement that I would suggest is to have the elastic ankles be tighter or be able to fasten to keep deep snow from getting in boots.
