My husband is on the Ski Patrol in New Mexico and was very pleased to receive this hat to wear in the snow, it kept him warm. He was also very pleased that it has a bill to the hat because some days it is cold but the sun is shining.
This hat looks a lot better than the picture in the website. It is incredibly soft and warm--more so than I had expected. The brim could be a bit harder/larger, but it works well as it is. The best thing is that in 20 degree weather, my ears are warm. I had thought the flaps would reduce my vision and hearing, but the vision is perfect and any loss in hearing acuity is negligible. I'd buy this again in a minute.
While the cap is made from Goretex, the quality of the lining material (fake fur) is fair. The hat is not the quality I expected for the price (near-$50).
In addition, the S/M size was too small for a medium-sized adult head but would probably fit a child's head instead.
