I previously reviewed this item and made negative comments. I want to add to the review, but couldn't figure out how to edit it, so I'm adding this post.
After posting critical comments, LL Bean customer service contacted me and apologized for my issue. They shipped me a new sign free of charge and recontacted me to insure that I was satisfied.
The sign looks great and presumably, I won't encounter the same issue as before. It's nice to know that LL Bean stands behind their products.
The listing states that the item can be used outdoors, but in a sheltered location. I placed my signed on a covered, screened porch, on the inside wall. Nonetheless, the paint blistered, rendering the sign unusable.
What's worse, I can see that this sign had a previous location lettered on it, and my location was painted on over that. I was going to scrape the weathered paint off and polyurethane it, but now that the older location is showing through, this is scrap.
It's a piece of wood, LL Bean! You had to re-use a sign you couldn't sell by painting over it?

Wonderful signs

I really like this signs. After we moved to a new condo last summer, I bought several of these signs to display on a wall. They look great. I only wish they were available for other countries as well since we have gone to Hawaii for our honeymoon and to China to adopt our daughter. Thanks LLBean!
Really nice looking. However I should have guessed that the latitude and longitude would be based on the general 5-digit zip code and not determined by locating the place name on a map. The location I ordered is the name of a peninsula and the latitude and longitude on the sign is not accurate.
