The signs that LL Bean had previously were much more appealing for hanging on a wall. These are very plain and have no design to the script like the old style did. The older style also had a nice boarder, very disappointed. Look very boring on a wall.

I have seven other LL Bean custom signs from past duty stations. Three more in the "new" format arrived - and although upper and lower case was specified - and the state requested to be spelled out (description states up to 14 characters for the state) - the City was in all capital letters and the state was not spelled out. Very poor attention to detail by LL Bean. The "new" design moves the latitude / longitude to a third line - not on the right side of the sign.

This sign was re-designed so the State would always be two letter abbreviation and all upper case lettering as seen in the photo. Personal touch for patio, porch, den, or military

Love gifts or things for the home that are personal and tell a story about the people that live there, this is one of those items. I ordered a red sign with our village information and have it on our large front porch. A friend ordered a sign from their hometown for her out of state college son and another friend ordered one sign for each duty station served in their 25 year military career. Material of sign lends itself to inside areas for best results. I do keep mine on our covered front porch most of the year but do bring it indoors during the cooler, wet winter. 5 STARS.
