"Our driveway isn't paved so we needed something that could be reliable when it came to keeping the dirt/mud from being dragged throughout the house. It's worth the money! It has stayed clean despite all the dirt, and is easy to vacuum. Highly recommend! Besides, the crest design isn't something you'll find anywhere. It's a very nice looking mat. Still looks brand new after a year and a half."

"LOVE these rugs. Just ordered my second. Both are in khaki. It is on the medium side of the khaki scale...but perfect for me. They clean easily and hold the chunks of dirt, tracked in by my farmer husband, until I get the chance of vacuum. Before, with the cheap rugs I would buy, they would scatter everywhere. These rugs are well worth the price!!!!!"

"I ordered the Waterhog Crescent Doormat in Khaki. It arrived only 5 days after I ordered it. The quality can't be beat. It is beautifully made and very attractive. As mentioned in another review, the color is a little darker than the online photo, (4 stars instead of 5) but very accurate if you were to look in the LL Bean catalog. Overall, I am very satisfied with this purchase."

"I purchased this crescent doormat in the medium size in Khaki. Reading another reviewers comment about the color being more of brown than khaki, I knew that would be fine with me. My mat just arrived & I placed it at my doorway. It looks great. I love the color (med brown, not dark brown) & the quality is very nice. The true test of this mat will be if it stays in place and keeps it's nice appearance. So far I am very happy with this mat."

"I just placed an order for my second Crescent Shaped Waterhog. My first is at my front entry and does a great job of "stopping" the dirt! It's the first mat that I've had in that location that I didn't have to move in order to open the door, even though it is thick & tightly woven. It just says "quality" and is very attractive. My only disappointment in it is that the Khaki color is in fact a deep brown, but as that color blends with my runner, I kept it. (True Khaki color would have worked better, however.) The new one will be used in my sunroom at the entry from my screened-in porch. Eventually I will purchase additional mats for the porch area."

"I would never normally spend this much for a doormat--BUT--I noticed that in our church, we have had one of these large crescent-shaped mats for about 8 years and even with a large dirt parking lot with lots of rain/snow/nasty shoes & boots--it finally dawned on me that this thing looks like new--even with all the trudging in yuck and dirty feet! In my 10 years at my cuurent home, I have spent at least the cost of this (and more) on cutesy mats that pilled, and just look gross after a few months (not to mention they slip!) Don't know what took me so long to figure this all out--BUT I ordered this in green--looks so pretty on my tile foyer floor. I know it will be the last mat I will have to buy. Goes to show--you do get what you pay for!!!"

"Even after reading all of the reviews, especially the one by Colonialhomemaker, I was still surprised by the drastic color difference of the burgundy online and when it arrived. It's very purple. Thankfully, it is in the foyer and not very close to the other "true" burgundy items in the home. The rug stays in place with the swinging of the door and wiping of feet. It's easy clean up and looks great. I expected nothing less from a Bean product."

"Was looking at different options for our side entrance porch door & decided on the crescent doormat. Ordered in the green to go with our trim on the house. Looks nice & works well for getting off some of the outdoor dirt, snow, etc. before entering the house. If you have a large porch would recommend the runner also. Mat stays in place, vacuums up nicely & if it gets extremely dirty can be hosed down & dried out."

"I bought this as a runner to protect a tile floor in winter, but I use it on a screened-in porch in the summer.
The backing is highly durable, and I know it will last a long, long time. The mat itself traps sand, dirt, and salt, and you can easily vaccuum it or shake it out. It's more expensive than the ones you'll find in department stores, but there's no better quality--and of course, those department stores won't guarrantee theirs for life like LL Bean does."

"In our old New England colonial nothing is level, so after it rains and you open our front door, water drips down the door and onto our hardwood floors. Our regular 2'x3' mat didn't quite cover the swing of our 36" door, so I've been looking for something nice to fit our entry. This large runner seemed to fit the bill, but I was concerned it wouldn't fit into our primitive decor. I purchased the burgundy rug to fit our color scheme, however when I opened the package I was surprised by the big difference in color between the pictures on the website and the actual rug. The actual rug turned out to be more purple than the pictures. Luckily, the rug still fits perfectly in size, color and style. Now my husband, two boys and I can all walk into the house without having to mop up after."

"Great mat; great color. (I have mine in green--it's deep rich and beautiful.) I use it in front of my entryway door and it allows enough space for the door to open and for you to get comfortably inside without stepping dirty shoes onto your floor. "This item is perfect for my walk thru (from the garage to the kitchen) laundry room. I have other Waterhog doormats out and inside the front and the rear (from the pool) entry doors. They catch all of the "drips: (even from the strongest Florida rainstorm) and dirt; keeping the inside of my home clean and dry. P.S. I have a ragdoll cat and she loves the mats too!"
