Finally replaced a commercial entry mat with this beautiful Waterhog. While my husband was not as convinced as I (especially with the price) in discussing it, it was actually HIM who said we should get a larger one!
At just under 4x6 it looks lovely in my kitchen entryway. (we purchased the green one) There's plenty of room to walk in and take off your boots/shoes while still staying on the mat. (A must during this snowy winter!)
I can't wait to see how it keeps things clean during our famous mud season! (and with all the snow this year ... that may be an extended season!)
We received this mat 3 days ago and it is GORGEOUS! I ordered the red one and it's a beautiful, deep cranberry red. Put it in the downstairs hallway that runs between the garage door and the family room. My husband came home from work in the snow, opened the garage door and his first words were "Great mat, Babe!" Not only does it catch and hold snow/water/ice, but it looks beautiful. It's like a piece of artwork on the floor! Every time I come into the house from the garage, I just smile. We have 2 green leaf Waterhog mats at the main entrance and they are great, too. These are expensive mats but they will last forever. Keep up the good work, LL Bean!
ProsDurable, Great Value, Performing as Expected, beautiful blue color
Due to bad weather in the south, I had to wait an extra week for this doormat, but it was well worth the wait. The blue crescent looks so pretty outside my front door. It is such an improvement over the old mat I had and I've already put it to good use-----it took care of all the dirt from my hiking boots and I know it will do the same with all the mud I usually track inside. I am so happy I bought this Waterhog Doormat and I may get one for indoor use, as well.
I got the red rug expecting it to be the same red as the smaller rectangular Waterhog I got a few months ago, but it is darker, more of a wine color. No worries, though; the darker color is actually better for the setting I have it in (against a dark floor). And the overall design is very pretty for such a practical item.
It vacuums well, meaning it stays flat and doesn't get sucked up into the machine on the sides as my old looped rug did.
