This is a great mat, if my dog is sloshing his water I can't tell! It even contains the food that falls from his dish. Easy to shake out as needed. Matches the waterhog door mat perfectly.
Regarding the large plain (not personalized) pet place mat: My Labrador dribbles as much water as he drinks--meanwhile pushing his stainless tip-proof dishes around the kitchen floor in his enthusiasm. This mat seems well designed to handle both problems (and thoughtfully sized to handle a 10-inch dish) without taking up too much floor space or creating a tripping hazard. However, I ordered the khaki color, and what I received is medium-dark brown. Although I'm not keen about the color, my dog seems to have no reservations about his new place mat, and neither his dishes nor the mat have budged an inch during dinner!
This placemat is nice looking and durable. We have had it for two years and it still looks like new. Nice to have a pet mat that doesn't look like an eyesore with home decor.
