We have a cat who drags her water bowl, leaving huge puddles on the kitchen floor, so we ordered this. The rubber backing helps prevent the bowls from sliding on the floor when she tries to drag, and the pile of the mat is unbelievably absorbent! She can dump her whole water bowl (about 1 cup) and the mat absorbs it. It's easy to clean in the kitchen sink, and it dries in a jiffy when we place it near a heating vent. The red colour goes perfectly with our cherry cabinets.
My 3 month old GSD puppy tend to "paw" at her water sometimes while she's drinking, splashing water all around her bowl... so nice to not have to wipe up the floor after she drinks! The mat looks great and its size is perfect for her ceramic bowls.
No Worries now, she can dig until her heart is content!

I have an Airedale terrier who loves to dig in her water bowl before drinking. Then she drips her beard all over the kitchen as she walks away from a cool drink. This mat has SAVED my wooden floors from damage. I posted it on a Facebook Airedale club and now many others have been purchasing your waterhog dog mats too... even all the way in Australia! Got the small UNpersonalized charcoal mat for my mini goldendoodle's water and food bowls. Highly absorbent for her little spills. Perfect size and looks great on my kitchen hardwood floor. The charcoal color blends nicely in my red and black kitchen!
