This is a well made belt, but is too long. I'm keeping it but have added another hole. I am disappointed that it is so long. I think it depends on where you wear your belt. I do not wear mine around my hips. If it is to fit your waist and classic jeans, it should be shorter.
The description included with this belt says "Fits best with our Original and Classic Fit pants". This is NOT so. I ordered the extra small belt and it is way to big for the size 4 original and classic fit pants. But... this belt will work if you wear jeans or pants that are considered low-rise. The quality of this belt is great and I would have given it a 5 star if the proper description had been given.
I recently bought size 18 jeans, but needed something to help hold things up as I'm losing weight. I originally bought the XL based on the size chart, but it turns out that it was WAY too big. Ordered the L after exchanging, and I was already on the middle hole of the belt!
Runs too big, I'd order at least one size smaller than you think you need.
On the plus, it's durable, soft leather, great thickness and flexibility, and has a nice clean look.
