ProsDurable, Great Value, Performing as Expected, perfect in all ways
I love LL Bean! I have a coat, water bottle, and backpack from LL Bean, and they're the best! When my lunch box became old and very well worn down, I knew I had to get a new one, but not like the one I was using, I wanted a LL Bean one! My grandmother ordered one and when it came, I knew it was worth every penny! I love the shoulder strap! No more stuffing it in my backpack. I really liked how well it was designed, the pocket on the front, prefect for snacks and the water bottle holder in the lunch box. The other one had a poorly design zip up water bottle holder that soon broke. This is the best lunch box EVER!!!! Wish I could give it 10 stars!

My 9 year old is really hard on just about anything that he touches. Can't tell you the number of lunch bags, backpacks, gloves, boots, shoes, etc. that he's worn out in no time flat. But this lunch bag has worked out WONDERFULLY for us! He's used it for almost half the school year, and it still looks brand new. He's twirled it, smooshed it, pulled on it, pushed on it, thrown it, jammed it in and out of his locker, laid on it, and used it as a projectile and there is just not a scratch on it. Well done, L.L. Bean, well done. This was one of my very first L.L. Bean purchases, and having been so pleased with it, I am now an L.L. Bean regular!
I bought this lunchbox for my 8 year old son. Granted, he is hard on things, but one side of the handle ripped off within a month of school starting. All other times I have experience high quality and durability from LL Bean school products, so I was surprised. I am returning the lunchbox and will most likely not repurchase this particular item; however this will not deter me from purchasing LL Bean backpacks, etc in the future. We have had years of good experiences with those.
ProsPerforming as Expected, hard to clean, won't fit frozen dinners
I purchased this for my wife to carry to work. Since she takes containers of food it works great, plenty of room for those who do not carry sandwiches, etc. However, it will not hold many frozen lunches, so if your carry a store bought frozen meal you will probably have issues. I have not had any handle issues like others state. Be aware there is an issue with cleaning. It is the same fabric as the smaller one which I have found there is no real way to clean so it stains. While I have not had any spills in this one yet, it will have the same issue. If you are carrying it and don't spill it will be great, but if your child is going to carry it be warned.
