I have the pink batik and it is lovely, looks just like the pictures. It will easily hold a six pack of soda with room for a couple more in the lid! I carry a couple bottles of water in the lid, plastic containers of food, snacks and a paperback book in it regularly. Also like the zippered side pouch for little extras, it too will hold quite a bit. I have had it a little over a year and it still looks like the day it arrived in the mail.
We bought two of these lunch boxes last year for my then 7 and 10 year old children. My 7 year old packs lunch every single day. Both lunch boxes have held up beautifully and they'll be used again this year. We use them with Bento storage containers that fit perfectly. A whole sandwich, two sides, a drink and an ice pack with room to spare.
This is the roomiest lunchbox out there. I take mine everyday to work--it has plenty of room for salad bowls and other items, but it's not too big and doesn't take up a lot of space in the office refrigerator like some bags. They are great for adults and kids with bigger appetites! The only downside is it can't be monogrammed, other than that it is a great purchase--durable, roomy, and easily cleaned!
I love the size and quality of this lunch box. The fabric is so nice too. However, if your plan is to carry this over your shoulder or cross-body forget it. The straps are not adhered to the sides of the lunch box in the right place. Putting anything in the lid compartment makes the lunch box top heavy and it "falls over" constantly. The straps need to be placed in such a way so the lunch box will stay upright when worn over the shoulder. The design is very awkward.
