Finding myself a student again, the need suddenly surfaced to own a lunchbox. I’m out at campus all day/every day and the commute back home for lunch was too impractical. My search started and ended with Bean. The lid design has proven to be very handy for drinks and also ice packs. I’ve haven’t had a need for the shoulder strap yet but it’s a nice additional accessory. Occasionally, I find myself wanting a bit more room in the lunch box but have been able to stick those extra items in my backpack. The external material feels very durable and the lining cleans up in a snap.
I research several lunch boxes before I bought this one. I was looking for a box that could hold my Ziplock food containers. Other lunch boxes I looked at came with there own containers and I decided I didn't want more dishes to worry about. I pack my left overs in the Ziplock food containers and in the morning they stack very nicely inside this lunch box. I am going to buy 3 more for my kids now that I have tried it myself.
With 2 growing sons, my biggest concerns were durability and capacity. Both concerns have been met by this product. The lunch kits are over 2 years old and still look great! Previous lunch bags rarely lasted half a year. Even the huge appetite of a 6-foot-one 15 year old boy can be held in this lunch kit. I was skeptical that it would all fit, but it does and that makes this mom happy. I even got the flowered one for me.
ProsDurable, Great Value, Performing as Expected, good looking
I have had and used this lunch box for two years and love it. Roomy, easy to clean, can put my tupperware squares and rounds in it in combo with no problem. H2O bottle fits in top. Love shoulder strap... work in satellite offices and always going to another place each day. Box has held up fine and still looks like new. Great buy for 12.99...
