I really like the size and functionality of this lunchbox, however, the strap along the top keeps fraying from the seam. I've returned one already and the second one did the same thing, within a shorter amount of time. Since this matches my daughter's backpack, we will simply snip off the frayed strap. They need to re-think the design of this strap.
I have this lunchbox for my 2 daughters. I LOVE it! It is by far the best lunch box we've had. They're going on their 2nd yr of school with them and they are still perfect. When my son starts full day he will be getting one too! So much room but not so huge that they take up the whole backpack. Stop looking and get this lunchbox!
I've purchased this lunchbox, for my school-age son, 2 years in a row. I love it, despite the fact that the top handle came off, both times, by the end of the first term. What I like so much about it, is that the drink compartment is separate, leaving enough room in the main compartment for a squat thermos, a sandwich, fruit and snack. It's also easy to clean. If L.L.Bean could resolve the handle issue, I would give this product 6 out of 5 stars!
