We had the other lunch box- the flat ones for over 2 years and got a lot of use out of them, but as they kids are getting older they wanted new ones so I decided to try these and we love them. I would suggest a dark color b/c the other ones we got got really dirty and almost moldy looking- not sure what it was.
My ten year old daughter used this lunch box for six months and unfortunately, the zip broke last week. I did expect this product to have a much longer life than this and I therefore will not recommend it. LLBean will replace it which is wonderful, but nevertheless, I am still disappointed with this item. My son has the Critter Lunch Box and it is still in very good working order after six months.
Best lunch box my kids have ever had! You can fit SO much comfortably in these boxes. My 14 yr old twin boys eat a lot and I can pack lunch, plenty of drinks and snacks for after school so the boys can eat before they go to a game or practice! We have had several other lunch boxes, some too small, some too big, but this one is just the right size and you can fit tons of food in them! The best one they've had so far! Thank you LLBean. :)
After days in and days out of using my children's lunch boxes, I was in need of a grown up one. I bring my lunch to work 5 days a week. I needed space and a shoulder strap, which is harder to find than I thought. When I purchased the Flip Top lunch box I hesitated because of the shape, but after using it, I could not be happier. It holds more than it looks and I can even put my water bottle and an ice pack in the top! I also love the green color!
