This lunch box is perfect for carrying soup and salads because they remain upright when being carried. Purchased this for my husband and he loves the long carrying strap over the shoulder. At first I thought it would be too small, but it carries a lot!! Purchased another one for my sister who is dieting yet is always on the go. This carries her fruits for the day and several prepackaged lunches and dinners.
I know it was in the kids' section, but I use this lunchbox every day. It's big enough for adult-sized lunches, and the design pattern is too cute. It's nice and durable, too.
After looking in numerous local stores I had an "aha" moment when I wondered if LLBean had what I needed. The quality is what we've all come to expect, know and love from LLBean and it's a perfect lunch "box" for an adult My only comment for improvement would be that they offer this same style in a slightly larger size.
I love the lunch box, and will keep it for use other than my son's lunch (like for car trips or for my or my hubby's lunch). CAUTION is that the sides are very pliable/squishy....At my child's school all of the lunch boxes get tossed into a basket. This one will surely get squished if it's near the bottom, and I suspect everything in it will too. So beware.
