I bought this lunchbox because I take my lunch to college, where I teach. It is awesome. I love the purple color, the size is just right, and the interior is washable. And I like the fact that it has a shoulder strap, because I often have my hands full getting from my car to the building. Thanks, LLBean !
I bought 3 of the lunch bags for my family over a year ago. They have held up great. Through yogurt explosions and all of grade 2, my daughters is still in great shape. I'll be replacing one only because it got left on a hot element on the stove.
Bought for 8 yr daughter & has used for now 6-wks. Loves te design & functionality. Just highly disappointed that it has several small tears on inside bottom liner.
It seems that the material is too brittle to use nice small lunch box containers. The lunch box could benefit from a more pliable bottom material and/or hard bottom insert.
I really liked the design of this lunch box and think it will work great for anyone who takes a typical sandwich for lunch. I often take a big salad, or soup and salad so I liked the upright style. I just needed it to be about 4 inches taller so I could fit an apple and/or yogurt and still have room for the ice pack. I hope that LL Bean will make this in a larger style next time around. (Kind of like the old style plastic construction worker lunch box.) I am still have LL Bean lunch boxes from 7 or 8 years ago that have been through the washing machine and have held up well.
