Just thought I'd put my word in on a bag I've had for 3 1/2 years. A small seam is ripping out & the overall design needs improving. Put the same size end cargo pockets on & do away with the flat zippered one. The cell phone holder is too small. The handle is worthless & doesn't carry the bag balanced. have to use the strap.The polyester is showing signs of wear. I have a 25 yr old rucksack (discontinued) from Bean, made of nylon pack cloth, that other than color fading, shows no age signs. Still as strong as the day I bought it. My 1st choice to grab when I travel. I don't expect the same long results from the messenger bag I have. Very disappointed in it. I should have bought the deluxe school backpack. which I had considered. It's advertised as being made of nylon pack cloth and appears better thought out in the design dept.
I just purchased this bag for my 9 year old for school in September. I have the mini (which sadly they do not sell anymore) and my husband has the large one. The medium is perfect for my son and i'm sure he will get tired of it before it wears out. He is so excited that he is bringing it to Disney World next week. I was lucky enough to get this one on clearance so it was a great buy! This bag is a nice alternative to the traditional back pack.
Unfortunately due to the economy my husband had to go back to school. With so many books my husband had to go to the car each time he changed classes to get the book for that class. This became difficult if his classes were in different buildings. I convinced him to try this bag and he loves it. All his books fit nicely into it and after a year it has met and exceeded both of our expectations. It still looks brand new and he still feels macho. If you buy this you will not be disappointed.

The Heatwave Messenger has become my favorite daily companion, having room for everything I may need to utilize throughout the day; and then some. It's tough, yet stylish and whether biking or hiking the asphalt trails, it never lets me down!
