This messenger bag is constructed great and works great. I bought this for my oldest to use for school and he loves it. His friends comment that they like how it looks. The medium size is perfect for this type of use. Also this messenger bag is constructed a whole lot better than one I bought from a department store last year. I haven't tried the cell phone pocket with a cell phone yet, but more than likely will in the near future.
This messanger bag arrived promptly and perfectly. The quality is very high. It has tons of compartments with zippers that don't break. Great for ipod, phone, pen/pencil, etc. We couldn't be happier with this purchase.
Purchased this as a back to school bag for my son, who insisted that the messenger bag is the new 'trend' at school ;-) The bag has a lot of neat pockets and placed to store items. The only downside is the strap only adjusts a small amount. The bag hung a little too low for him and will have to wait until he 'grows into it' a little more. Other than that, it is a great bag for a taller child/young adult.
My 17 year old son chose this bag for himself and he loves it! It is the perfect size for taking books to homeschool coop, a weekend at the grandparents or just lugging around the laptop in. And we know if it's a LL Bean product it is going to hold up to everything he can throw in it! He also loves the long strap which when loaded down he carries across his chest.
