This was my first purchase from LLBean. I love the bag it is very roomy, has lots of places to store all my "stuff". I am a teacher and carry a lot of materials home with me everyday. I purchased the large bag, at times, it is a bit too large. I ordered the medium for my daughter but it was way too small. I suggest an intermediate size, somewhere between the two. Overall, it is a great product.
This messenger bag is perfect for my son. The size is just right, the padded shoulder strap helps when carrying his heavy books. Plenty of smaller pockets for cell phone, calculater, etc. My son loves it.
My son loves this bag. He is 8 years old and starting 3rd grade. As soon as he received the bag in the mail, he quickly put all his school supplies in it and then carried it around the house for days until school began. My only complaint is that the strap is very long even when you tighten it. It is definitely for an older child. Also when you put a lot of books in it the strap the keeps the bag shorter can loosen. We took it to the shoe maker to have the strap made smaller.
I recently purchased this bag for carrying all my stuff to and from work. This bag is awesome. It's the perfect size, great price, lightweight, and well made. I recently ordered the large messenger bag but it's too huge so I returned it for the medium bag. A lot of pockets to put things and the strap is nicely padded and adjustable.
