I originally purchased this item for my husband, but he did not like the fact that it could not be carried like a handheld briefcase (only shoulder strap option can support this bag) There is a handle on the top, but it is not functional because when used with the bag loaded, the bag pops open. So, I used the bag myself as my second carry on when I flew on a commercial airliner. For me, the cross shoulder strap was perfect! I loved the fact that it is lightweight and roomy, it fit comfortably under the seat in front of me while my other carry on piece fit in the overhead. I did not have to check any bags! It also fit easily on top of my cabin size wheeled luggage, as another option when hiking across airport terminals etc.
I bought this bag for the size, price and color. I wanted a computer bag that was not costly. The computer will not be in the bag very often, but I want a bag the does not look so computery. It worked perfectly.
I love this messenger bag. It is large enough to hold files and books, yet not gigantic-looking. It has many interior organizing pockets and the back exterior slide pocket is handy for magazines and newspapers. I ordered the tan (ash?) plaid--very nice color. Fabric is sturdy but not unduly stiff. I agree with comments about the awkwardness of the grab handle but the long cross-body strap is very comfortable. Plus, the price is right!
I bought the large bag because the small one looked like a fanny pack in the pictures... the large bag is huge, too big for what I need it for. I had it personalized, so I am stuck with it, I still use it daily, but just carry around more stuff in it!
