I purchased large messenger bags for my 12-year-old daughter and myself. The size works well for both of us -- the bag is big enough to hold her flute and her schoolbooks, and mine holds my planner binder and office supplies. The shoulder strap is well padded and comfortable. I would have preferred a zippered pocket on the outside, rather than just a snap; I've had some problems with the snap not holding. I would also have preferred a more structured bag, with more padding in the body and flap. This bag seems a bit floppy and insubstantial.
This bag is one of the best bags you sell. Its light weight and simple design is perfect for commuters. Its functional and looks good at the same time, thats hard to find. I use it daily, this is the second one I've ordered and will continue to order these in the future. I would like to know why the small change pouch under the id on the front of the bag was removed? It was convenient and useful. I would like to suggest they put it back. I have another suggestion for the clip on the front that holds the flap down. Its hard to press the button with nails, and most women have long nails these days. Could you find a simpler clasp? Even velcro would do.
I bought the medium bag for my 6th grader and it is a great size for all of her things. The strap has extra padding as well. I think the large would have been too big since she is small.
