I think I finally found the bag that will work for me as a carryon. My camera case holding two cameras and binoculars fits nicely with room for a shirt and a few other personal items, books, etc. I have not flown with it yet, but I think this is the answer, I have tried many other bags that just don't suit my needs.
I bought the mini & I love it. I need a lightweight bag because of neck problems & the mini is light, roomy & stylish. I like the versatility of the long strap. I can wear it across my body & easily shorten the strap to carry the bag on one shoulder. The only things I would change are the clasp on the main pocket (because it can be hard to open, sometimes I need to use two hands & that can be inconvenient) & the strap for that clasp (too long). All in all I love the bag.
i bought this bag for my 13 year-old daughter thinking that it was more grown up than a backpack. grade 8 is a big deal!!!!! this bag is fantastic!!!! it's large and tough and attractive. i have purchased many things from L.L. Bean. the quality is fabulous and the salespeople are phenominal.
I bought this bag for my daughter who is a freshman in college. She absolutely loves it. It's large enough to fit her books and it is very comfortable for her to carry, even though she is very short in stature. Great Bag!
