I bought my 3 & 4th radio of this type-I love them. We have one in each vehicle and in the house. They are very useful in iffy weather. The lights are bright enough and visible in fog, the radios play clearly. And they are quite lightweight to carry on walks. The cell charger adapter you have to send away for but it's a good thing to have,espcially if you live in a n area prone to losing power. My biggest gripe? On the later models, the hand crank is difficult to get out off the shaped resting area.
I purchased this crankup radio so that during thunderstorms and tornado warnings I don't have to worry about whether there are fresh batteries in the emergency radio.
The radio is just the right size for outdoor activities such as kayaking, camping, and hiking. Good for storm related situations. It's small enough to stow away. I had a problem with the light and LL Beam was quick to send another to me. The weather feature is handy. No batteries to replace is great. I have not tried the cellphone charging. No cord provided. LL Beans service is the best.
