Small and portable, but packs a punch! Flashlight is bright, radio stations tune in great esp. w/atenna and a cell charger,too! I have heard that the cell chargers on these types of radios aren't the best or that they won't charge smart phones at all. I haven't tried it myself (no smart phone), but it did partially charge an mp3 player (it wasn't completely dead to start with). The wonderful radio will fit easily in a backpack, emergency kit or your purse. Well worth the money!
I bought this because of the good reviews other customers gave it. Upon arrival i gave to my son, which i often do with my survival/emergency equipment.I watched in horror for an entire week as he drop,threw,step on,and ran over it. After all the abuse it took i crank it with the handle which to my suprise still was attached and working. None the less the solar dynamo radio pass the test and i will be purchasing 4 more for our bug out bags!!! P.S it has its bumps and bruises!

I have been looking at this item for awhile. I wanted it for emergencies like tornadoes and such but I mainly was planning on using it while gardening and it has been working great -- now if it would just learn how to pull weeds!
