I bought this for emergencies. We have a lot of storms and tornadoes here in the midwest. It works find. It is smaller than I expected, but I guess I didn't read the measurements!
When I opened the box, my heart sank -- this gizmo was so little. I imagined tinny sound and poor reception. In fact, it has wonderful sound quality and reception, better than the fancy radio already in the kitchen. I had bought it to take to the woods but ended up buying a second one to keep on my kitchen windowsill. I never think about charging -- it is always ready to go.
Just arrived and am getting to know my new radio. I think it will be real asset during power outages and storms. Love having weather stations. How nice to have cell phone charger. Stations come quite clearly. Giving as gift to my sister who travels lots. Thanks LL for your wonderful inventory!!!!
We had a rash of tornadoes and I felt we needed a weather band radio. We got the Solar Dynamo Radio Light and as soon as it arrived we had another outbreak of tornadoes. The radio worked great! I felt that we had a means of staying on top of the situation. It ran on the charge out of the box for about 7 hours. Then I cranked the dynamo and I kept going until the danger passed. It charges quickly in the light from a window and works beautifully. We even like the color---red.
