I get good reception of lots of stations, loud & clear after not much winding. Bright light. Glad it has USB connection for charging cell phone. Only drawback: port to plug in wall charger doesn't fit any of the various fittings on my variable-volt charger. But the windup thingie works fine, so don't need it, eh?
We are very pleased with this radio. With all of the disasters around the world we knew we needed to get our survival kit ready. One important item is a radio that does not use electricity in case there is no electricity. So when we saw this radio advertised we thought we would see how good it was. We were shocked at how well the radio worked. The sound is amazing. The construction is also very good. It is very well made and very sturdy. We have told many of our friends where we got it. Thank you for making a great product.
ProsGreat Value, Performing as Expected, adorable!
This radio was smaller than I expected, but so cute! I bought the orange one. We've been experiencing alot of bad weather here in NC, and I'd been wanting a weather band radio, something that would alert me to storms when our satellite goes out, as it always does in bad weather. As we are forecast to get storms late tonight, I will be using it to monitor the situation. So far, I've just used it to listen to the radio, and it does a good job of picking up many stations. Of course, the sound is not "high end" but it's fine. I'll use it out by the pool or in the garden this summer. Will probably rely more on solar power to charge it, as I am worried I will eventually break the crank handle. All in all, a good purchase for the money, and a cheap way to feel more secure when the storms come.
