For camping, for storms, for working in the garden -crank up the power using the handle or the sun - it is awesome. The best part of this item has turned out to be the USB port for cell phones or a laptop. During a storm, you will always have power, the flashlight lets you see what you are doing, the radio keeps you informed (local stations and weather stations) and the USB lets you keep your cell phone charged for a real emergency! Would be a great birthday or holiday gift! It is a must have! All at a great price for so much in such a small, compact product!
This is great for emergencies, compact, easy use, nice features. I wanted something like this for emergency evacuations i.e. fires, earthquakes etc. This fills the bill. I plan to purchase at least one more for our 2nd vehicle. Living in Southern CA, weather events can be unpredictable.
The Solar Dynamo Radio Light is small but powerful. The crank is easy to use and the radio pickes up stations well. It is not heavy or bulkie. I live in California and we have earthquakes, fire, rain, mud-slides and being able to pick up NOAA stations is a very reliable information when I look for it.
